How to integrate Gong with Outplay

What does the Outplay Integration with Gong do?

  • AI guided topic analysis of Outplay call recordings

  • Outplay call recording transcription

  • See the talk time of each rep per call, and see how long a rep spends on each "topic" the AI finds.

  • Organization level talk-time/topic-based reporting

  • Ability to tag specific portions of a call for review from your team.

What data can be synced through the integration?

You can sync the data of the call recording, lead/company name, and the contact name for the contact on the call

How to set up Gong and Outplay integration?

  1. Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Under Company click on Integrations & API

  4. Select the toggle in the Gong banner

  5. Login in to your Gong using your credentials. Below login screen will open

  6. Once you enter the credentials. Click on Allow to allow the access to Gong.

7. Once authentication is successful you can see the following screen:

User Mapping and Sync

In the User Mapping section of the Integration, you can map the respective Outplay Owners with the respective Gong Owner.

Include Objects not owned by the Mapped Users:

  • Let's say there is a scenario where SDR who has a Outplay Account but does not have a Gong Account and you want their calls to be synched in Gong Account then you should turn on this setting on the User Mapping Page ' Include Objects not owned by the Mapped Users'.

  • Once you enable this, then, calls of that SDR in Outplay will sync to Gong and the owner of those calls will be the SDR whose account is set as Default in Outplay User Mapping.

    If you want to make some other SDR as default then you can do that by clicking on the three dots on the right side.

     

     

  • Refer to the Logs screen below to see the status/failure of the sync. This will help you to understand the reason if there is any failure happened

     

Important Notes:

  • This integration does not pull in all call recordings for an organization. It only pulls in call recordings that are over 1 minute long for users that have both Outplay and Gong.io accounts and have call recording enabled in Outplay.

  • Once the call is completed, the call will auto-sync to the Gong.io account

  • In the Gong.io account under company settings, please note, under Data capture settings, the Import Calls option should be enabled for SDR.
