All About Goals
Goals are the targets SDRs tries to achieve for their month, quarter or year. Though the term goals seems very obvious that you want to achieve something but users still want the defined targets to achieve their outcomes.
Lets understand what are the type of goals available in Outplay which you can set for your team.
Goals in Outplay are divided among different categories. Refer to the below table

How to setup goals
Login to Outplay
Navigate to Reports
Click on Goals
Under Individual view, click on Set New Goal
Select the users for whom you want to set the goal and then click on Set New Goal
Select the time period for which you want to set up the goal
Enter the goal target for the users
How to show future weeks/months/quarters
If the timeframe is selected as Weekly, then we will show one past week, one highlighted with the current week, and all future weeks of the current year.
If the timeframe is selected as monthly, then we will show one past month, one highlighted with the current month and all future months of the current year.
If the timeframe is selected as quarterly, then we will show one past quarter, one highlighted with the current quarter, and all future quarters of the current year.
Set Goals for Multiple Users or Groups
To bulk edit goals for a group or multiple users at once, follow these steps:
Select your Goal Metric and Timeframe.
In the Goals table, filter the view, if necessary.
Use the checkboxes on the left side of the table to select any and all users or groups that require a goal update. As you check the boxes, a Set Goals button will appear above the right corner of the Goals table. You will also notice that the number of users listed above the table will reflect either the number of users selected or the number of groups selected.
Click Set Goals. A Set Goals module will appear informing you of the timeframe and number of users and/or groups being edited.
Select time period. This determines the time when this goal will apply. The time periods will adjust based on the time frame you’ve selected.
Enter a Goal Number
(Optional) Click Set a recurring goal. This setting is for goals that persist for a lengthy period of time. For example, if you are entering quarterly goals, but a goal will exists for a year, you can set a recurring goal so that the metric is entered for all future periods.
Inside Set a recurring goal, you need to determine how long the goal will be applied. Chose between the following options:
Never ends: goal will persist indefinitely.
Add an end date: Selecting this option will provide a dropdown for you to select when the recurring goal will end.
In this option
If it is monthly, then it will show future months of that year
If it is weekly, then it will show future weeks of that year.
If it is yearly, it will show future years.
If it is quarterly, then it will show future quarters of that year.
The end date, which they have set will be the date till which the goal will be created.
Click Save. The goal will be applied in the table.
If there is an existing goal for any of the users who have selected, Outplay will show the message as Goals already exist for this user. You can click on Overwrite to modify the goals.

Team View shows more in depth info and the supporting data points for that goal. Refer to the below table for more details
Important Points
The goal category can be set only once per user.
Goals cannot be set for the backdates.
Goals can only be set for future dates.
a. If you have set up a weekly goal, you can still set a monthly, quarterly goal, or yearly goal.
b. If you have set up a monthly goal, you can still set a quarterly goal, or a yearly goal but cannot set a weekly goal.
c. If you have set up a quarterly goal, you can still set the yearly goal but cannot set a weekly, or monthly goal.
d. If you have set up a yearly goal, you cannot set weekly, monthly, or yearly goals.
Goals will be visible based on the timezone selected for the logged-in user in his/her My Account settings.
The individual view will not have a date filter.
Team view will have the date filter to prorate the values and show based on the date filter applied.
If there is already an existing goal for the user and the admin is trying to overwrite the same. We need to show the message as
Are you sure you want to overwrite the existing goal target for the selected user(s) ?
