Configure Fields for Accounts and Opportunities

This feature aims to provide Admin with the option to make fields mandatory on both the accounts and opportunities pages in CRM.

Please note: There will be no impact on Import from Salesforce report and Create via CRM synchHere are the steps to set the fields as mandatory 

 

  1. Login to portal

  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Navigate to Field Configuration > Accounts & Field Configuration> Opportunities

  4. All the Default fields have to be visible in both accounts & opportunities sections

  5. Click on the search icon and search for the field which you want to set as mandatory

  6. Click on the ellipses button of the field and click on Mark Mandatory

  7. Once clicked the field will be marked as mandatory and a mandatory tag will be added to that field

Points to remember

  • If the field is empty, while saving, the system will throw validation as Fields marked with * are mandatory to fill

  • While importing accounts CSV, in the field mapping screen, if the mandatory field is not mapped, then the system will show validation as Mandatory fields are not mapped

  • If SDR tries to modify the non-mandatory field, the system will not throw any validation

  • If SDR tries to delete the data from the mandatory field, the system will show the message as Field cannot be left blank.
