Step 1: Open the Email Composer

To get started, log in to your Outplay account and navigate to the Email Composer. This is where you can create and customize your email templates.

Step 2: Insert Custom Variables

Within the Email Composer, look for the Insert Variable button. Click on it to access a list of available custom variables.

TIP: You can even add Email Variables to your subject line.

Step 3: Choose the Desired Variable

Outplay offers various types of custom variables that you can add to your emails. These include variables associated with Prospects, Accounts, Snippets, and Others. Select the appropriate variable that suits your personalization needs.

Step 4: Preview Variable Changes

To ensure that the variable is dynamically changing based on the prospect, click the Show Preview option. This will display a preview of the email with the variable values updated according to different prospects.

Step 5: Verify Variable Functionality

Review the email preview and browse through up to 20 prospects to verify that all the variables are functioning correctly. The custom variables will be highlighted to indicate their presence.

If a variable does not contain a value, it will be highlighted in red, indicating that you need to double-check the setup.

Step 6: Test Email Delivery

To be absolutely certain that your custom variables are working as intended, you can send a test email. This allows you to see how the variables appear in an actual email and confirm that the personalization is seamless.

TIP: You can even add Email Variables to your subject line.

Custom variables in Outplay empower you to personalize your emails at scale, delivering tailored messages that resonate with each prospect. By following these steps, you can easily insert custom variables into your email templates and ensure that they dynamically adapt to each recipient.
