Integration with Mixpanel

Gain better insights by analyzing prospect’s interactions with your product.


Mixpanel is a user analytics tool that allows you to track how users interact with your internet-based product, be it an app or a website. With the Outplay - Mixpanel integration, you can track prospect's interactions with your product and identify hot leads through a customizable point-based system. This way, you know exactly which prospect to prioritize and recognize their immediate requirements, helping you close deals faster on Outplay. 



NOTE: Project settings on Mixpanel can be configured by an Admin account only.


NOTE: Outplay - Mixpanel Integration can be configured by an Admin account only.


Step 1: Obtain your Project ID


  • On Mixpanel, select a project with which you want to sync Outplay events. 




  • Click the Settings icon and select Project Settings




  • In the Overview section, you can find your Project ID




  • Copy the Project ID to a preferred location on your system. 



Step 2: Create a service account for your Mixpanel project


  • On Mixpanel, select the project with which you want to sync Outplay events. 




  • Click the Settings icon and select Project Settings




  • Click Service Accounts.




  • Click the Add Service Account button




  • The Add Service Account window pops up. Here, you can:
    • Enter a name for the service account and click the drop-down option to create a new service account
    • Select the Project Role as Admin.
    • Select the Expiry as required. 
    • Click Add




  • Next, your service account Username and Secret are displayed.


NOTE: Make sure you save the service account's Secret as it will never be accessible again.




  • Copy the Username and Secret to a preferred location on your system and click Done


The service account is created successfully. 


Step 3: Integrate Outplay with Mixpanel



  • On Outplay, go to ProfileSettings.




  • Click Integrations & API. 




  • Navigate to the Mixpanel tile and enable the Setup toggle




  • The Configure Mixpanel Details window pops up. Here, you can:
    • In the Client ID field, enter the service account’s Username obtained in Step 2.
    • In the Client Secret field, enter the service account’s Secret obtained in Step 2
    • In the Project ID field, enter the Project ID obtained in Step 1




  • Click Save.



Outplay is successfully integrated with Mixpanel.
