This article will help users which have Zoho email ID and would like to connect their email to Outplay
Outplay works best with Gmail & Outlook, however, we support other ESP’s as well. If you have a Zoho email id and you want to connect Zoho SMTP/IMAP in Outplay, please follow the below-mentioned steps to set up the same
How to enable IMAP access in Zoho email settings
- Log in to Zoho Mail.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down and click on the Mail Accounts option.
- Navigate to the IMAP tab and enable IMAP access.
- Save the settings.
- Navigate back to Outplay.
- Log in to Outplay portal
- Navigate to Settings
- Navigate to User >> Email box
- Click on the IMAP/SMTP option
- Fill in the details which are asked for -
Sender Email |
Enter the email id of the user |
SMTP Host Name |
Enter the SMTP hostname, refer to the link below to find the correct hostname |
SMTP Port |
Enter the Port number, refer to the link below to find the correct port number |
SMTP Username |
Enter the email id of the user |
SMTP Password |
Enter the password of the user |
Use SSL / TLS |
Check this box, if you want to connect via SSL/ TLS |
IMAP Host Name |
Enter the IMAP hostname, refer to the link below to find the correct hostname |
IMAP Port |
Enter the Port number, refer to the link below to find the correct port number |
IMAP Username |
Enter the email id of the user |
IMAP Password |
Enter the password of the user |
Refer to the link for more details on endpoints asked for in the above screen12. Click on Verify & Connect to authenticate the credentials.
Please note: If you see the above error in Outplay, make sure you have enabled the IMAP access in the Zoho email
